All-Defensive NBA First Team Season

New York - NBA has released its All-Defensive First Team this season. Memphis Grizzlies guard Tony Allen was selected to be the player with the highest points, beating the Miami Heat star LeBron James.

Allen getting 53 points, or just one point ahead of James. In the vote, they get 25 votes out of 30 first-team coach for the category.

"Whenever we get an individual award, it is an honor," said James, who previously had been lined up as the Most Valuable Player (MVP) it.

All-Defensive First Team this season consists of six players because there are two players that have the same value, namely the New York Knicks center Tyson Chandler, and Chicago Bulls center, Joakim Noah. They get 24 points.

In addition, two other players selected were the LA Clippers guard Chris Paul (37 points) and Oklahoma City Thunder forward Serge Ibaka (46).

For the category of the All-Defensive Second Team, selected Avery Bradley (Boston Celtics), Mike Conley (Grizzlies), Tim Duncan (San Antonio Spurs), Paul George (Indiana Pacers), and Marc Gasol (Grizzlis), which previously also been named as defensive player of the year.
