PSG Party, 21 Fans Arrested

PARIS - PSG managed to get the first league title in 19 years, or since 1994. But unfortunately celebration by the PSG fans goes awry. Boucault Bernard, Paris police commissioner confirmed 30 people had been injured in the celebration, including three members of the security.

He also added that 21 people had been arrested for throwing objects and cause damage when riot police clashed with fans at the Place du Trocadero, near the Eiffel Tower.

"Today should be a day of celebration for the city of Paris, for the club, for the fans and colleagues," the club said in a statement on its official website.

"The party has been marred by hundreds of troublemakers who are not interested in football. Moreover, only a small number of people who used to meet the Parc des Princes during the game with passion and enthusiasm and full security.

"All members of the club, the players, the board of directors, expressed regret at all the fans are loyal and passionate they are that the trophy presentation ceremony was brief."

"The celebration will continue this Saturday at the Parc des Princes at the Ligue 1 match against Brest, when the club and the fans will unite the pleasure of embracing the success of Paris Saint Germain's first trophy in 19 years."
