PARIS - One of the factors that makes David Beckham retire, it is the Barcelona star, Lionel Messi.
Half-joking, David Beckham admits it when talking to former teammate, Gary Neville on Sky Sports.
David Beckham decided to retire at the end of this season, after Paris Saint Germain bringing Ligue 1 win. The former Manchester United, Real Madrid, LA Galaxy and AC Milan, feel now is the right time to retire.
In talking with former teammate at Manchester United, Gary Neville, the owner of the typical free-kick as he jokingly said moments when Paris Saint Germain against Barcelona in the Champions League, April last, a reason to retire.
Midfielder 38 years old, was admitted unconscious physically unable to compete because of Lionel Messi skipped.
"Maybe I know when Messi ran past me, but I feel honored to have won the championship trophy," said Beckham.
"For years, when I saw a number of players retiring, when you ask it to them, they always say you'll know when you're ready. I think I'm ready. Of course this is a difficult decision, because I still feel playing at the top level, "said the father of four children.
